"Abbey Court is a good place to be – whether as a pupil or a member of staff."

Abbey Court Primary Department is situated in an urban area on Long Catlis Road in the Parkwood Estate, Rainham. An extensive building project was completed in Easter 2000 and the purpose built facilities are all on a single storey.

The specialist facilities at the Primary site include a sensory room, a soft play room, a sports field, two multi-sensory courtyards and a playground with adventure equipment.

Abbey Court Secondary Department is situated in an urban area at the junction of the Gravesend Road and Rede Court Road, Strood. It occupies an easily accessible site of approximately 3 ½ acres. The school building is 18 years old and is a single storey purpose built building. During 2000 and 2002 extensive building work enhanced and updated the facilities on the site.

The specialist facilities at the Secondary site include a hydrotherapy pool, a sensory room and courtyard, an ICT suite, an Art room, a Food Technology room, a music room, a playground assault course and science/technology room.

Our Further Education (FE) Unit is for pupils aged 16-19 with severe learning difficulties. The Unit was based at the Hundred of Hoo School until mid 2002, when building work extensions meant there was a suite of classrooms available at the Strood site.

The FE Unit has access to all the facilities available in the Secondary Department. In addition they have their own life skills area and ICT Suite.
