About Us

Adswood Primary School is situated in the heart of the community, on Garners Lane in Adswood, Stockport.

  • We aim to be an essential part of the community and the recently announced plans for the SureStart initiative will help us to further this aim. The school will be at the hub of the Sure Start scheme and we feel this is an exciting venture for both the school and the community
  • We aim to provide a broad based, balanced curriculum where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential with high standards of reading, writing and numeracy.
  • We provide a stimulating environment in a very friendly atmosphere where staff are caring, supportive and always willing to help.
  • We offer the children a wide range of extra-curricular after school activities - our Fun Clubs. We also seek opportunities to enhance children's learning through a range of educational visits.
  • We fully meet Goverment requirements with regard to the provision of computers. In fact we were the first school in Stockport to have its own network with internet access and we have a newly installed ICT Suite.
