All Saints C E Primary School
Shore Road, Hesketh Bank, PR4 6RD, UK Preston
+44 (0)1772 812630

The school is in the village of Hesketh Bank, which is halfway between Southport and Preston. It is a semi-rural area comprising of farms, market gardens and private housing.

At present we have 190 children on roll and this is expected to rise to over 200 in the next few years. At present the children are divided into 7 classes. In addition to the Headteacher the school has 9 class teachers (4 of whom are part time). In addition the School’s staff consists of a full time Administrative Officer, a Nursery Nurse, several Teaching Assistants and a Site Supervisor and cleaners.

The School is very much a part of the local community. There is a strong link with All Saints Church and our School takes part of its name from the Church. Representatives from the Parochial Church Council serve on the Governing Body, as well as foundation governors representing the Blackburn Diocese. The Rector, as Parish priest, takes school worship and is available to offer pastoral care to parents and children.

The School takes part in the Church Garden Party, held annually on the first Saturday in July. We, also, support the Christmas Fair and the Spring Market. Families are informed of all church activities. Throughout the year School services are held in the Church and parents are encouraged to attend. Education Sunday, which is in January or February, is very important in the life of the School and all pupils and their families are warmly invited. Families who have no other church affiliation are welcomed to the Church and children are invited to the Sunday School.

Extra curricular activities are varied. They include Chess, Athletics, Football, Netball, Drama, Rugby, Art, Story Club, Computer Club, Baking Club, French Club and Music Tuition. We maintain a high standard of athletics and compete in inter-school competitions. Our Football, Netball and Chess teams enjoy a large measure of success. We try to take the children in years 5 and 6 away, to a residential activity centre where they experience other forms of learning.
