PRIMARY SCHOOL

We believe in: High Standards of work and behaviour Equality of Opportunity for all Competing enthusiastically and fairly Tolerance of the rich diversity within our society

What is a school without children?

Everything we do at All Saints is designed to enable our children to meet their potential and prepare them for the world they will live in once they leave us.

In this area we hope you will find out about what our children do, their thoughts and feelings and share their successes.

Below are the results of a survey of how the pupils feel we are meeting their needs. We are very proud that they:

  • showed a lot of thought and maturity when answering the questions
  • were so positive about their experiences at school

PARENTS

We believe that supportive parents and/or carers are vital to the successful development of all children. We encourage them to play a major role in our school and their views are always respected.

Parents are welcome to come into school to discuss their child's progress or talk to teachers about any problems they may have.

We have a 'Friends of All Saints' parents association which has organised many different events, both social and fund raising over the last few years. All parents are warmly invited to join in its organisation.

Parents can also play a vital role in the Governing Body of All Saints.

We will be developing the links above to give vital information for helping children develop outside of the school environment.

This is what our parents thought about All Saints in a recent questionnaire:

FROM THE HEADTEACHER

Welcome to our school website. I hope you find it informative, easy to use and that you get a flavour of what All Saints is all about.

For many years we have had a reputation that, as a school we:

  • Set high, achievable standards of work and behaviour;

  • Believe in the Christian Ethos being a vital part of our children's education;

  • Encourage parents to be involved in their child's development;

  • Take an active and interested role in supporting our families and;

  • Stress in the importance of sport in a child's development.

As a Church of England voluntarily controlled school, we are committed to enabling our children to become responsible and compassionate citizens bothin school (and in the wider community) through the teachings of the church.

We are proud to have been awarded Beacon status in 2001 and the standards that led to that recognition continue to be the norm today.

We have teachers who have displayed such impressive teaching skills that they have been awarded Leading Teacher Status and invited to share their skills with colleagues from other schools in Stockport.

We try to support the needs of all our families by understanding the pressures they face and being available to help when asked. As a result, we offer:

  • Before and After School care to enable parents who work to have access to affordable child care between 8.00am and 5.45pm. Our Breakfast club is free, for example.

  • Opportunities for parents (and neighbours from the local community) to improve their computer skills - free of charge.

  • Courses for parents to develop their parenting skills.

  • Access to our Learning Mentor who will help and support families in need.

As a school we hope that parents find that they are welcomed and that their children feel safe and valued and reach their full potential.

Should you wish to visit us please make an appointment and I will be delighted to give you a tour of a school that I would have loved to have been able to send my children.

All the very best

J.L Roper
