Alvaston Junior Community School

Our school believes that working as a team we can achieve great things, we include our whole school community in the team - children, staff, governors, parents, carers and friends because -

'Together we can!'

Our current priorities are to build on recent success and create a positive, vibrant and exciting environment where quality learning and teaching that meets the needs of all children is the central focus of our improvement agenda.

We are a friendly school where we strive to maintain positive relationships and celebrate achievement. Our clear behaviour policy is built on the foundation of positive reinforcement of all that is good and helping every child to live up to our high expectations.

Many aspects of our school we are rightly proud of, not least of which is our Enhanced Resourced Facility which enables us to welcome children with special needs into our community. Our school is all the richer for this.

We are always happy for you to visit us, or if you would like to find out more about our school and what we can offer please contact the school to make arrangements.

Sue Penglase
