Two great locations

Cambridge

Cambridge is a wonderful fusion of the everyday and the extraordinary, from ancient monuments and churches to film and beer festivals. In Cambridge you can take a punt down the river, have Pimms in the park...and then party all night at The Junction.

Chelmsford

Chelmsford has extensive parks, modern shopping centres, cinemas, theatres and the Riverside Leisure Centre with pool, flume rides and ice rink. In Chelmsford you can shop 'til you drop, skate the Bolero and party at the V Festival.

Both campuses both have central locations, so it's always easy to get into town and meet friends for a coffee or hop on the bus or train to go home for the weekend.

The city

People come from all over the planet to experience Cambridge! It is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe with ancient and modern architecture, superb shopping facilities, huge cultural appeal and a wide variety of arts and entertainment. It is a safe and secure city in which to live, study and travel around and is only an hour from London by train, with good transport connections to the whole of the UK. For further information, Visit Cambridge.

The Cambridge campus

Our campus is located in the centre of the city and has everything you would expect of a well-resourced, modern university. There are lecture halls, seminar rooms, laboratories and studios equipped for teaching a wide range of degree courses. In addition there is a library, a theatre, a medical centre, a nursery for childcare and a new self-service restaurant. A major investment programme has added new student facilities and information points, purpose-built music study and performance facilities, art studios, and a high-tech Language Centre.

The town

Chelmsford is particularly liked by international students. It is a safe and secure town in which to live, study and travel around, and there are extensive parks, beautiful countryside as well as a busy modern shopping centre and market. Arts and entertainment are a big feature of local life, the town having three theatres as well as being home to the internationally renowned 'V' Music Festival. The town offers you quick access to London (only 30 minutes by train) and good road connections to the whole of the UK. For more information about Chelmsford, please visit the Chelmsford Borough Council website.

The Chelmsford campus

Chelmsford's Rivermead Campus is located just a ten minute walk from the busy town centre.

Rivermead has a wide range of resources, including the University Library, student residences, shops, bank, food facilities and the Language Centre in a very modern environment. Recent investment has also added the new Ashcroft International Business School, the Tindal Building for Student Support Services and the Student Union, and the Mildmay Sports Centre.
