Arnold Lodge is the oldest preparatory school in Warwickshire with a proud tradition of scholarships to major public schools.

Offering co-educational schooling for children aged 2 years 6 months to 16 years old from 2008.

A message from the Principal

From the Foundation stage right through to preparation for Common Entrance examinations and Scholarships to a wide range of Senior Schools, each child is placed at the heart of teaching and learning.

 Small class sizes and strong pastoral care ensure that our pupils are happy and confident  in all aspects of their school lives.

Traditional values and a strong work ethic, combined with a principled framework  for academic and social development, results in pupils focusing on learning and achievement across a broad curriculum.

Opportunities abound!  Our scholars successfully obtain awards to major Independent schools in the country.  The curriculum is enhanced by pupils’ use of information technology, by residential  and day field trips both abroad and in this country, by guest speakers, by participation in the performing arts and sports, as well as a range of extra curricular activities.

The Academy of Dance and Drama has a strong dramatic tradition and ballet, tap, modern and street dance lessons are also offered. Pupils are encouraged to join choirs, the orchestra, guitar bands, woodwind ensembles, drumming groups, brass and string ensembles as well as take individual lessons. There are opportunities to perform for audiences both in school and in the local community.

Association and Rugby football, hockey, cricket, netball, gymnastics, rounders, swimming, dance and athletics are supplements by tennis after school.  The teams have a thorough programme of fixtures throughout the year with other independent schools.

Pupils with special educational needs  are provided with both support in the classroom and, where appropriate, with support, individually or in small groups, with a specialist teacher.

Arnold Lodge School exists:

To provide an excellent education for boys and girls and to thoroughly prepare them for the next stage of their education.

 To ensure that children learn as effectively as possible in a safe, secure and stimulating environment where equal consideration is given to social, physical, emotional, spiritual and intellectual development and where pupils are well equipped to meet the challenges of the future.

 This will be achieved through;

  • Delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum
  • Developing flexible and responsive teaching styles
  • Maintaining a stimulating learning environment
  • Fostering a partnership involving pupils, parents and teachers
  • Providing a strong care programme, spiritual and moral guidance to support pupils through their education
  • Developing appropriate attitudes and values
