Welcome...

Astor is Kent's first specialist College for the Visual Arts. This recognition by the Government has opened up marvellous opportunities not only in the Visual Arts, but in the Performing Arts and all other subject areas. Every subject is very important, especially the key areas of English, Mathematics, Science and ICT. We are not just about the Arts but focus on Visual Literacy across the curriculum. This website will give you an 'electronic' taste of life at Astor...
Very Best Wishes

Chris Russell

Astor Combined Cadet Force...

The Astor College CCF (Combined Cadet Force) is staffed by teachers who are Commissioned Officers in Her Majesty's Armed Forces and is also supported by the Armed Forces.

It is an excellent opportunity for young people of all ages to be provided with military training and experience, giving important skills in leadership. The CCF is affiliated to the Pricess of Wales' Royal Regiment which, through its history is the oldest infantry regiment in the Army.

In July 2003, the Astor CCF spent a week in Norfolk at Stanford Training Area. The event attracted some 900 cadets from schools across the whole of the UK - a slide show can be accessed by clicking on the link below. (Please note - Macromedia Flash Player will be required if it is not already installed on your computer)
