Auchenback Primary School
Headteacher's Page
It was a privilege for the school to host a visit from Mathew McIver the Chief Executive/Registrar for the General Teaching Council for Scotland on Tuesday 11th September. Part of Mathew's visit was to acknowledge and promote the 'Chartered Teacher' programme within East Renfrewshire and Mathew had an opportunity to meet with Auchenback's own Chartered Teacher Kirsty Macdonald.
A copy of the Standards and Quality Report together with Auchenback School Plan for 2007-8 can now be accessed through our website and whilst this is not bedtime reading it does allow you to have sight of 'How we are doing' and also what our plans are for the new session.
Part of our 'Home School Partnership' policy enables parents/carers the opportunity to view their child's work through jotters/workbooks. This practice will continue and workbooks be sent home on a regular basis.
In extending the 'Home School Partnership' a programme updating our 'Homework' practice will be with you shortly.
Homework is only one way of developing positive links between home and school and gives you the parents the opportunity to work with your children's learning outwith the classroom environment.
A news letter will be available at the beginning of the new term highlighting significant events taking place within the school in the run up to the Christmas period.
