Mrs Penny Edwards |
I have worked at Barcombe School now for 8 years. Last year I achieved HLTA status and have been employed as an HLTA to cover PPA time for the teaching staff. I teach Art and DT to every child in the school and I really enjoy the challenge! I run an after school Art Club with Miss. Higgins and I am a Governor. My hobbies include art and gardening, and I am really excited by the school's allotment which I will be looking after with the children. This will form an important part of our forthcoming Eco Club which Mr. Cobb and I will be developing in 2007. My job is hard work but I love it-and I am proud to have the opportunity to make a difference every day. |

Ms Jawara has been at Barcombe School since September 2006. After spending a delightful year in Y4 with Mr Cobb, she is now enjoying working in Y3 with Mrs Dyer. Ms Jawara has always worked with children - in schools and in therapy centres. In her spare time, Ms Jawara likes hanging around with her daughter, Leilani and her puppy, Wendell. She likes all kinds of arts and crafts, reading, doing jigsaws and watching telly. But most of all she is obsessed with cooking and eating….but not necessarily in that order! |
Mr Brian Gown joined the staff in July 2005 as caretaker. He has a background in security, health & safety, DIY and electrical work, and a very positive attitude towards the post. We look forward to welcoming him onto the staff team later this term.
