Apologies for the problems with the site at the moment. We are undergoing an upgrade with the provider and need to update the information on the site.

What we value in our school.

Where we are

Bayton is a small village on the western edge of Worcestershire about 7 miles from Bewdley and about 3 miles from Cleobury Mortimer.

Watch out when you come down the lane in the mornings, especially if the school bus is heading your way-there isn't much room !

Our aims and values are that:

1. We provide the very best educational opportunities for individual achievement that our combined resources can secure.

2. We provide a relevant and engaging curriculum that fulfils the requirements of the National Curriculum orders but that is enriched with extra-curricular activities that enhance the personal talents and qualities of our pupils.

3. We nurture independent and responsible learning and foster enthusiasm for education and taking ownership of their own progress.

4. We promote a caring environment where people are considerate and respectful; able to work in collaboration and as a team member.

5. We have high expectations of our individual pupils in terms of achievement and raising of standards.

6. We have an emphasis on the core skills of Literacy, Numeracy, Science and ICT to enable the children to have better access to the whole curriculum.

7. We provide an attractive, stimulating and purposeful learning environment for our pupils where they feel both welcome and secure.

8. We encourage the development of self-esteem and confidence, balanced by a sense of courtesy and self-discipline.

9. We should all try to behave in accordance with the principles of our Home-School Agreement and the School Code of Conduct.

10. We provide equality of opportunity and access to all areas of learning.

11. As a Church of England School, we teach our pupils about the life of Christ and good Christian principles, and we maintain and develop links with the Church and the local community.

12. Every member of our school community will feel informed of and involved in its development and progress.

13. We build on our strengths in a positive and constructive manner, anticipating and managing change and new learning opportunities effectively.

14. Communications are clear, concise and include consultation prior to the decision-making process, when appropriate.

15. The partnership between home and school should be supportive of and beneficial to the child's learning experiences.

16. The people who work here have a right to training as part of their professional development.
