The Sixth Form provides boys and girls with a new working environment, demanding a more mature approach to study. The wide selection of available courses is considered in discussions with parents and teachers, bearing in mind each student's abilities and the opportunities available in Higher Education and future employment.
Year 12 students will select FOUR AS subjects in addition to an Enrichment Activity, although exceptionally able students may be able to choose five AS subjects and no Enrichment Activity. Our partnership with Townley Grammar School enables us to offer the widest possible choice of subjects. Most students will then go on to study THREE A levels in Year 13 with an Enrichment Activity, although some students may study more. It may be possible to study futher AS-Levels in year 13.

The list of subjects available is a statement of intent and we reserve the right to withdraw courses, if minimum numbers for the courses are not achieved or, due to circumstances beyond our control.
The Sixth Form is open to students from other schools. Application forms and prospectuses are available from this web site. An Information Evening will be held on Thursday 8th November 2007 at 7pm. The closing date for applications is 31st January 2008.
Students will need to achieve: • At least five GCSE's at grade B. • At least a grade C in both Maths and English Language. • Individual subject requirements as detailed in the prospectus. The minimum course of study in Year 12 will be 4 AS Levels plus an Enrichment Activity. Conditional offers will be made to students predicted to meet these requirements.
Applicants are asked to submit an application form together with letter detailing: • Why you have chosen Beths Sixth Form • Which subjects you have chosen and the reasons for these choices • Your future career aspirations
The closing date for applications will be 31st January 2008.
In the event of there being more applicants achieving the entry qualifications than the number of places available, priority will be given to students in Year 11 at Beths Grammar School. After that, priority will be given to applicants with a sibling at Beths and then the criteria will be distance from the school.
