We are a Church of England Primary school, located in the rural parish of Bickerstaffe near Ormskirk, Lancashire, United Kingdom.

Bickerstaffe C of E Primary School has 69 children as at January 2008. The children are placed in mixed year groups within four classes. Average class sizes are 17, which makes for an excellent ratio of pupils to teachers. Mixed year groups enable pupils to work together enhancing the close, caring family atmosphere of our school. The children's work is carefully planned and differentiated to meet the age, ability and needs of each child.

At Bickerstaffe C of E School we recognise the need to encourage and reward the progress that children make in all areas of learning - social, physical and academic. We want children to take a pride in themselves and their work and foster self-esteem. This results in happy, confident children who have a love of learning and who enjoy their life at school.

We at Bickerstaffe Voluntary Controlled C of E School seek to help children achieve their full potential, by encouraging a love of learning, the development of self-esteem, and confidence. As a Church school we aim to develop Christian values, and foster a respect for other people and their beliefs.
