Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to the Birchensale Website. I hope that it will keep you better informed of all the initiatives that we are introducing and give you some insight into the excellent standards being achieved across many areas of the curriculum.

Following the 'Every Child Matters' document and a wish that schools should become focal centres for community life, Birchensale achieved extended status during 2005.

As a school, we are committed to raising academic standards, but also embrace the idea of working in partnership to provide integrated services to deliver the 'Core Offer' including Child Care, Health and Social Care, Parenting Support, Family and Life Long Learning, Sports and Arts Activities, ICT access and Study Support.

Ingrid Bridgewater

Headteacher
