SPORTS
The close connection between good physical health and fitness and the highest levels of intellectual attainment are now well known. This is one of the reasons why we encourage a diverse and challenging sporting programme spanning rugby, soccer, cross-country, basketball, hockey, netball, athletics, swimming and fencing.
Our sports programme is designed to allow everyone to find the physical activity that will suit them best, providing opportunities for the stronger performers to exce and the weaker ones to develop their skills.
MUSIC AND DRAMA
We aim to give every pupil the opportunity to develop his or her powers of oral communication and dramatic and musical expression. Great confidence is gained through performing to an audience and pupils throughout the school are encouraged to take part in a variety of theatrical productions and concerts.
- some music scholarships
- concerts held during the year
- annual productions
- after-school drama club
"Rapid improvements are taking place in the provision for music and in the standards being achieved in this area". |
