Chaplaincy BG is a Church College and so the Chaplaincy plays an important part in University College life, through contributions to the academic and social life of the University College and helping to develop relationships with surrounding communities. There is a full-time Chaplain and Chaplaincy Assistant, who work closely with local ministers from all denominations to provide an ecumenical environment of prayer and worship for the University College.
Learning Support The University College encourages all of its students to develop their academic skills, throughout the duration of their studies. Therefore, learning support is available to any student who needs it, from enrolment to course completion. This support includes specialist help for those with specific learning difficulties and other disabling conditions. Individual and small group tutorials are provided to students on request. These are normally offered between 9.00 and 5.00 Monday to Friday, but evening and weekend sessions can also be arranged in consultation with the Learning Support Co-ordinator. Prospective students who have any queries about the range and nature of the support available should contact Dr. Lloyd Richardson, by telephone on 01522 583663; or email Lloyd.richardson@bishopg.ac.uk
