Broadhembury School is located at the heart of a picturesque village. It is surrounded by beautiful countryside and takes its children from a wide rural area. The original Victorian building has been improved and extended to meet the needs of a modern curriculum but the school retains much of its close, family atmosphere.

The idea of “family” is very important to us. Much of what we do, be it deciding on the aims of the school, agreeing rules for play-time behaviour, or taking part in major art projects, we do as a whole school family. To reinforce this, we have what we call “Family Groups” that meet once a week. These groups have on average twelve members ranging from the youngest children to the oldest adults and are used in a range of ways to support children during their time at school.

We aim to provide all the children with the skills and attributes to be skilled, active and considerate citizens. Hopefully, by looking at our website or even visiting the school, you will be able to get an idea of how we do this.

Welcome to Broadhembury Primary School.
