Welcome to Bunbury Aldersey C E Primary School
About us
Bunbury Aldersey Primary School is a co-educational Church of England Primary School providing for children between the ages of 4 and 11.
The school, named after its founder Thomas Aldersey, dates back to 1594 when it was a boys’ grammar school. It belongs to the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, one of the twelve Livery Companies of London, but it is administered by the Local Education Authority. The Worshipful Company of Haberdashers takes a keen interest in the school and this interest proves beneficial in the provision of buildings and equipment.
The Headteacher will be pleased to supply any further details, and parents wishing to visit the school should telephone or write to make an appointment. General information about all schools in the Mid-Cheshire District is available at this school; at the District Education Office, Watling Street, Northwich; at the Authority’s Headquarters and in public libraries.

We play football in our PE lessons, and we also have football after-school club. We regularly have football matches against other schools, and usually do really well!
We love playing netball, and have regular matches against other schools in the area. Last season we took part in the Cluster Schools' tournament, and won! |
We have dance lessons as part of our P.E. curriculum, but our teachers also run an after school dance club. We love performing in assemblies, at Harvest, Easter and Christmas. |
We take part in the Deanery Sports athletics competition every year, and this year we were the proud overall winners of the Packman Shield. |
In the summer, just as Wimbledon is starting, a tennis coach comes to school, and helps us with our backhand and volleys! | |
