The Junior School offers a rich academic and extra-curricular education for boys aged 7 to 11. There are over 160 boys, 10 full-time teaching staff, a Special Educational Needs assistant and a welfare assistant who looks after the boys outside the classroom. Effective influences on the boys at this early stage in their development are vital, and as such our caring and disciplined environment ensures high standards in the classroom, in the wide variety of extra-curricular activities and in relationships. The spirit of friendship which exists throughout the school creates an atmosphere in which the boys feel happy and secure. This is hugely important not only for the boys? academic progress but also for their all-round development.
The boys are encouraged to discover a love of learning, to identify and develop their talents and to pursue a wide range of interests. The boys are expected to show respect for themselves, for others and for their environment. Our aim is that by the time the boys transfer to the Senior School they are maturing into intelligent, articulate, confident and considerate young people, equipped with well-developed academic and social skills.
