What are the school times?

Infant Aged Children: 8:55 to 12 noon
  1:15 to 3.15pm
   
Junior Aged Children: 8:50 to 12:15pm
  1:15 to 3:20pm


Road crossing patrols
Rock Avenue:
8:35 to 9:05am
3:15 to 3:40pm

Canterbury Street:
8:35 to 9:00am
3:15 to 3:40pm

There is no lunch duty on either road patrol.

Head Teacher: Mr J Fernie
Deputy Head: Mr G Chantler

Office Staff: Mrs Collins, Mrs Cork, Mrs Smith (mornings). Available to order school uniform, answer questions and arrange meetings.

Teachers are available for quicker queries after 3:20pm. For larger matters teachers will be pleased to arrange an appointment.

FRIENDS

The ‘Friends of Byron’ association meet to plan events to raise money for projects and activities of the school. For example the ‘friends’subsidises swimming lessons, theatre groups and also special projects ie sweatshirts for members of the Byron School Choir.

The group meets once termly for an informal chat to plan future events. Members are all involved in the planning of events but do not necessarily attend all events. All parents of the school are asked to help with events. Members can be anyone with a vested interest in the school.

The group consists of:
Chairperson: Sam Deakin
Vice-chairperson: Sam Digby

Some members are parents, others are grandparents and members of the local community. If you are interested in becoming a member of ‘The Friends of Byron’please contact the school office.
