Carleith Primary School is a non-denominational school situated in Duntocher. The catchment area is a mixture of private and local authority housing. The school is situated in an attractive landscaped gardens with hard surfaced and grassed play areas and a football pitch. The layout is semi-open plan with spacious activity areas and is suitable for children with a physical disability. The school has a large hall used for physical education, with part of the hall used as a dining area.

At present we have regular visits from an instrumental teacher of violin, cello and double bass. Secondary pupils on work experience and student teachers from the University of Strathclyde and University of Glasgow have placements in the school.

The school board meets regularly and is very active furthering and interests of the school. We are working to develop a partnership with parents and to create an atmosphere where pupils, parents and teachers work together effectively to improve the education provided for our children.

Twelve pupils from Carleith Primary are representing the school at Clydebank High School. We are doing some songs and dances which we launched a few years ago for Hungry for Success.

Carleith's uniform consists of purple cardigan or sweatshirt with badge. Our polo shirt is yellow with badge, and our tie is purple with yellow stripes.
