Welcome to Chevening C.E.P. School

Drawing of Chevening School

Chevening is a small village situated about two miles outside Sevenoaks in Kent.  We have seven single age classes of boys and girls aged between 4 and 11 with approximately 210 pupils.

We are a church aided school and as such we aim to preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the church at parish and diocesan level.

In addition to the normal curriculum, we participate in various extra-curricular projects.  We are proud to be part of the National Healthy Schools' Initiative and we have gained recognition for our work on the environment by being awarded ECO Schools status.

As a result of our recent Ofsted Inspection, we have been identified as a "particularly successful school" and included in Ofsted's annual report for the academic year 2003/4.  Referring to these schools Her Majesty's Chief Inspector of Schools stated,
"These schools were judged in their inspections to be very or extremely effective in providing high quality education and ensuring that their pupils achieve very well."
