We are a non profit making club and we offer affordable, secure and enjoyable before and after school care.
We aim to provide children with a range of play activities, both indoors and outdoors, and give the children the opportunity to relax and be with friends out of school hours. As for their Mums, Dads and carers, we aim to enable local parents to return to work, or stay in work, or take up training opportunities, free from childcare worries.
The club is open to all children who attend primary education. We are registered with OFSTED to provide 16 childcare places.
Because of our OFSTED registration you may be able to claim working families tax credits to assist with the fees.
We welcome visits from parents/carers and their children at any time during our sessions.
A bit about us….
We currently employ Sam Harvey, as the kids club Co-ordinator, and Lucy Sunter, Jenny Rayner, and Emily Needham who job share the position of playworker.
The club is managed by a voluntary committee, drawn from local parents. We welcome any parents who would like to join the management committee (please) !
We are situated within the school, but run independently. We started with the financial help from the New Opportunities Fund, but we now have to be financially self-sufficient.
Rules
There are a few restrictions on the children.
Any aggressive or discriminatory behaviour is not tolerated under any circumstances.
There is no running inside the school and no child is allowed outside the school without an adult.
The main requirement for the smooth running of the club, is respect and consideration for the other children, the staff and the equipment.
Positive behaviour is consistently promoted, however, aggressive or disruptive behaviour is reported in the incident book, and further steps will be taken if necessary.
Please see the full behaviour policy for further details. All our policies are available for inspection at any time.
The club operates an equal opportunity policy in all areas.
