Welcome to Copthorne Preparatory School, an independent co educational school for boys and girls aged 2 to 13 years, set in 55 acres of beautiful countryside on the West Sussex Surrey border.

This website aims to provide information about the school for visitors, as well as keeping those already involved and associated with the school up to date with current activities and developments.  If you are a visitor to the site, we hope it will give you a flavour of the busy and purposeful life at Copthorne and convey the feeling of energy and enthusiasm that the children put into all that they do.

We are proud of our academic achievements as well the opportunities we provide for children to achieve success in all areas of the curriculum.  We help to develop each child's confidence, to raise self-esteem and to make children feel good about themselves.  Nothing does this more than children enjoying success in all areas of school life.  This is why sport, art, music, IT, DT and drama are all just as important as the pursuit of academic excellence.
