Welcome to Crowthorne C of E Primary School. Our school is situated within the village of Crowthorne on a site that offers many diverse learning environments. We are a Voluntary Controlled School and have close links with St. John's Church of England parish church in the village.

We are currently collecting Sainsbury and Tesco Computers for School vouchers. These can be handed into the school office.

We are a school that takes children from the surrounding area from rising 5 to 11 when they transfer to local secondary schools. Our headteacher is Mrs Gellatly. Our school has achieved the Silver Healthy School Award and we are working towards gaining our Gold Award. We also have Investors in People status. This recognises we are a school that values and promotes the training and development of its staff. Also that we have a well-developed culture of continuous improvement in its performance. Visits to the school are warmly welcomed.
At Crowthorne Church of England Primary School we aim to provide an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. The children will grow and learn with confidence and enthusiasm in an inspirational and supportive environment.
Working in partnership with parents and children we promote high standards and equal access for all; developing pupils' physical, intellectual, cultural and spiritual potential. The atmosphere within our school is happy and secure encouraging eagerness to learn.
We value the contribution of every member of the school community continuing a strong tradition of promoting respect, tolerance and caring for all.
Each year the school supports a local charity.
2002-2003 Macmillan Nurses which support people with cancer.
2003-2004 Marie Curie Cancer Care
2004-2005 National Pyramid Trust - working with children with low self esteem.
2005-2006 Amy Louise Appeal - Supporting a local little girl who has a rare form of muscular dystrophy.

Our School and its History
Our school was formally opened on the 18th January 1875 by John Walter MD of Bearwood at whose expense it was built. On the opening day 72 children were present and several parishioners. At the time Rev H. S. Leanny was the Vicar at St. John's C of E Church.
In 2000 the school officially opened its Millennium gargen as shown on the right. This was designed with the help of the children. The garden is based around a tree theme with branches off the main path. In the centre is a solar powered fountain.
