Welcome to Dean Valley Community Primary School

We are very proud of our grounds and garden, which includes a wild flower area, butterfly garden, various play areas and a quiet seating area. Our school aims to provide success and fulfilment for all. Dean Valley is one of four primary schools in Bollington.

Our school aims to:
  • Create a well-managed and organised environment where high quality teaching and high quality learning can take place effectively.
  • Provide a broad, balanced curriculum which is well planned, differentiated and stimulating, enabling all children to reach their full potential.
  • Provide opportunities for social, physical, moral, spiritual and intellectual development.
  • Develop enquiring minds, freedom of expression and creativity within our children.
  • Develop caring responses by promoting healthy, social attitudes of tolerance, respect and understanding for all people.
  • Have a partnership in which parents and the community are involved in the achievement of our school’s aims.

Holiday Dates

Please try to avoid taking children out of school during term time as it disrupts their education and especially during May/ June due to testing (years 2/3/4/5/6).

If you wish to take your child or children out of school for extra holidays, you will need a holiday form from the office to authorise the absence. We request that such absence is kept to a minimum as it is difficult to ensure that lessons missed are covered on return.
