Our family has owned and run the school for over sixty years during which time it has become well-known throughout the Midlands for its high academic standards and discipline.
We offer a broad and challenging curriculum for boys and girls from three years of age to eleven years in a friendly and caring environment. Our pupils are taught to respect the traditional values of good manners, consideration for others and doing one's best at all times to prepare them for a full and happy life.
Every child at Eastbourne House is valued as an individual and encouraged to develop his or her talents to the full. We have small classes with an average of 16 children in each, thus ensuring individual personal attention.
In the following pages we hope to give you an insight into the day to day life of our school and an appreciation of the happy atmosphere and enjoyment experienced by our pupils.
The Curriculum
The children at Eastbourne House are encouraged to develop a love of learning and a confidence in their own ability.
Each child is seen as an individual with distinct needs which our experienced and highly qualified staff will endeavour to develop to the full.
The National Curriculum is seen as a starting point and is developed to encompass the many requirements of the examinations for the Independent and Grammar schools as well as the needs of the other secondary schools.
We have an excellent record of exam successes to the King Edward's Schools, Solihull School and virtually all of the other Independent secondary schools in the West Midlands.
The core subjects of English, Maths and Science are taught along with French, History, Geography, Religious Knowledge, Art and Design, Music, Drama, P.E, and Computer Studies.
Our school is extremely well resourced and our children are able to learn without distraction in a well disciplined atmosphere where learning is valued by both staff and their peers.
