We are a small school, situated in the beautiful valley of Edale. At the moment we havetwenty-eight children on roll and there are two full time teachers, one part-time teacher plus two part-time teaching assistants. We offer an excellent education in a happy, safe environment.

Who are we?

There are 24 children in school at the moment and there are 8 adults working there.

Several parents and friends come in to help with some lessons such as art and craft, French lessons, chess club and reading.

The Governors are very active in helping the school to run smoothly. Several of them come in regularly to help us.

There is an active parents association called the Friends of Edale School. (FoES) They raise a lot of money every year and buy us many items such as new televisions with built in videos, musical instruments, furniture and educational toys. One of the most important things they do is pay for the buses or coaches which we need if we want to go on school trips.

We also get a lot of support from the people in the village, whether they are present parents, ex-parents or just friends.

We work closely with the Peak District National Park Wardens, Losehill Hall and the National Trust. We often take part in initiatives arranged by them.
