Welcome to Ellington Infant School

Our motto is 'caring, sharing and learning together' and sums up the way we approach life in school.

I hope you enjoy your trip around our website although it is only possible to give you a brief glimpse of life in school.

We welcome visitors to school and are very proud to show you our new Reception area, the lovely grounds, and the stimulating and child centred classrooms.

My Personal vision for the school is:

• School must be fun for the children. If we cannot entice them through the door, we cannot teach them.
• Life in school should be calm and orderly. We cannot teach children if they do not have the skills to listen to us and are able to behave in a reasonable manner.
• All individuals are responsible for their actions. We all have choices and we have to accept the consequences of those actions. This goes for children and adults.
• Every child should leave here literate, numerate, eager to continue learning and know they are good at something. We may have to look hard to spot those good things!
• Working in close partnership with parents will help us to achieve all of the above.
