Exbourne Church of England Primary School caters for children from the ages of 4 - 11. The approximate number on roll is 60. The number admitted each year is approximately 10. This year the children will be organised into three classes which are vertically grouped, according to age.

Our School has the highest expectations of each child's potential for achievement in all areas of school life. As a result we aim to provide a safe and secure environment which is conducive to effective and stimulating learning.

Good home and school links are essential for your child's well-being and it is important that they know that a partnership exists between us. We hope to share and consult both informally and formally through a successful association.


During the time your child spends at school we aim to provide enriching and stimulating experiences in a happy and secure atmosphere, where each child is encouraged to develop and extend their abilities to the fullest extent. In general, the curriculum is based on helping children to develop a positive self image, a knowledge of themselves, and their immediate environment, to awaken the basic skills of English, Mathematics, and Science and through Language to integrate experiences into a meaningful whole.

The core subjects:- English, Maths and Science, Religious Education (in accordance with the Devon Agreed Syllabus) and I.C.T.

Foundation subjects:- Technology (including design), History, Geography, Music, Art, Physical Education.
