Welcome to Farway Church of England Primary School!

Farway Primary School is a Church of England (Voluntary Aided) co-education school for children aged 5-11 years.

The school is situated in a beautiful valley 3 miles form the market town of Honiton, in picturesque East Devon.

The school consists of the original stone building, which was constructed in 1835. In 2004 a new extension was finished which houses a new classroom and computer area, new toilets, a multi purpose hall, in which the Farway Under 5's Group meet five mornings a week, a spacious and secure main entrance with extremely good library facilities and a secure play area for the Foundation Stage children.

The playground has been extended and flattened offering a good sized area to play and take part in sports. We also have a field and TimberTrail which leads to a small garden in which the children grow flowers, fruit and vegetables. These attractive grounds are surrounded by wonderful open countryside which provides a natural resource for learning.

Farway Fledglings

The Farway Fledglings Group is made up from the current Reception year pupils and children who are in school as part of their build up programme prior to starting full time the following term. They attend school for two afternoons a week and work on the Knowledge and Understanding area of the curriculum as well as P.E. and P.S.H.E.

Junior Class

Key Stage 2 children have been studying Structures for their Design and Technology topic last term. To make this more realistic they have designed and made a chicken house which is now in the school garden.
