Welcome to Ffynnonbedr Primary School
Our School
Ffynnonbedr School is located in the centre of the market town of Lampeter. The School itself has approximately 300 pupils ranging in age from 3 to 11 yrs old.
It is organised along traditional lines, but it should be noted that we have a streaming system whereby parents can choose to have their children educated mainly through Welsh or English.
The School building is over 100 years old but we have received finance from the Welsh Assembly which will enable us to build a new school within the next few years. This will be located near the Secondary School, the Leisure Centre and the town's Swimming Pool.
Within the school an attempt is made to provide an equal opportunity for all pupils and we aim to achieve high academic and behavioral standards. We have received the Quality mark for language and mathematics from the Basic skills agency. We are also 'Investors in People.'
