Our school is situated in West Hull in Gipsyville and is within a short bus ride of the centre of the city of Kingston Upon Hull.  We pride ourselves on being a welcoming, friendly community at the heart of the area. Staff are enthusiastic and supportive. The building is spacious and well maintained. The caretakers and cleaners take a great pride in how clean and attractive the school is. Many of the Governors are from the local community and play an important part in the life of the school. We work as a team, supporting and encouraging each member.
We admit pupils from 3 until 11 and there is an admissions limit of 50 pupils.  One of our special features is the large, spacious Nursery and Reception area (Foundation Stage Unit).  The unit is well resourced and has access to a large, safe playing area. Activity based learning, including the outside environment, is at the heart of the Foundation curriculum.

There are single age and mixed age classes throughout the school. All classrooms have interactive white boards which add an extra dimension to our teaching and learning.  The school is so lucky to have two halls for assemblies and PE as well as a separate dining room. There are lifts and ramps so that the whole school site is accessible for all.
Lunches are cooked on the site with a big emphasis on healthy eating.  The dinners look good and taste good.
At break and lunchtimes, there are ‘Buddies’ from year 6 caring for, and playing with, pupils from all age groups.  There are lots of activities on both playgrounds which have both been recently remarked with new games, after consultation with the School Council. It is such a joy to watch how the pupils care for each other, how good examples are set, skills taught and team work encouraged.
