Welcome to the Francis Baily Primary School!.

If you are a member of the school, passwords can be obtained from your class teacher.

Welcome back to school after the Summer Holidays, and a particular welcome to new pupils and members of staff. Everybody is looking forward to the exciting challenges and opportunities that come with the new school year. We said goodbye to our Year 6 on Friday 20th July and wish them well at their Secondary Schools. We look forward to saying goodbye properly to our leaving members of staff as this was rather washed out on the last day of last term.

The PTA held the Summer Fair on Tuesday 17th July and despite the wet weather many people turned out to support the school. Over £2400 was raised which was an excellent total for a rain affected event. This will go towards supporting several school projects that enhance life for everybody at Francis Baily. Thank you to all those who supported this event in any way.

**Maths Parents Meeting, 1st March 2007. Resources from this evening can now be found in News/Home School Partnership/Forms/Dates section in a folder called Curriculum.**

Photos and reports of events involving the whole school can be found in Recent Events.
Remember to look at the Classes area and click on the appropriate year group to find out more about what the children have been doing in each area.

Cathy Growney judging the art competition

Welcome to the P.T.A. Homepage

The PTA works very hard all year to raise money for some lovely things in our school.  Recently the PTA has provided money to buy an Interactive Whiteboard and Projector in each classroom, as well as projectors and electric screens in both our halls.

The Christmas Fayre was held on 25 November 2006 to raise some money for the emptied bank account.  All the children at school look forward to finding out which goodies the PTA will buy next! Click on the page on the left to see some photos from this event.

The art competition was judged by Cathy Growney (pictured above), who found judging very difficult as there was such a variety of pieces.  She said that some of the pieces made her smile and a few made her laugh out loud.  Well done to all who took part in the competition and many congratulations to the winners!
