Mission Statement
Through effective teaching of the National Curriculum, and by expecting the very best of academic standards we aim to create a happy, secure and stimulating learning environment in which all members of the school community can grow in self-esteem and develop their potential as human beings.

An introduction from Mrs E O Bradshaw (Headmistress)

Dear Parent,

Welcome to Frittenden C.E. Primary School. We are very proud of our school, which has served the local community for over 150 years.

The staff and governors of the school aim to provide the children with an education that is broadly based and tailored to meet the children’s individual needs. We provide a caring, happy and positive atmosphere in which a child may fulfil his/her potential and grow in self confidence and respect for the people and environment around them.

We are committed to the ideal of a partnership in education between home and school and to this end, prospective parents are invited to visit the school and meet the staff and children.

Yours,

Mrs E Bradshaw

CLASSES

As in other schools, all the children of statutory school age at Frittenden Primary School follow the National Curriculum.  This means they follow nationally agreed programmes of study in Numeracy, Literacy, Science, Art, Music, PE, History, Geography, ICT, R.E. and Design Technology plus a Kent agreed scheme to teach French. Just click on the topic title for more information.

In addition to the subjects specified in the National Curriculum, the school curriculum also includes cross-curricular issues such as personal and social education, health education, citizenship, environmental education, equal opportunities and multi-cultural education.

STUDENTS LIFE

Morning Session: 08.55  - 12.00

Break: 10.00 - 10.15

Afternoon Session: 1.15pm - 15.15pm

Apart from children travelling on school transport, children should not arrive at school before 8.50 am

From 8.50 the school playground will be supervised.

The crossing is manned from 8.45. - 9.00

It is important that children are not late for school. Late arrival in the classroom can be upsetting for your child, and can affect the smooth running of the school.

Lunch Time Arrangements

School meals are cooked at Cranbrook Primary School and served on the premises here at Frittenden.

Children may choose to take a hot lunch prepared off site and served at school or they may bring a packed lunch.

Dinner money is collected on Monday morning. If your child is absent on Monday please send amount owing on the following Friday morning. Dinner money may be paid on a half-termly basis to the school meals contractor, currently Initial Catering.

You will be notified of the cost of meals by Initial catering and cheques should be made payable to them.

In the event of your child being late for any reason please inform us so as to ensure a dinner is ordered.  If your child forgets to bring a packed lunch, we are more than happy to provide a school dinner but will have to ask for payment accordingly.
