There are almost 270 children on roll, ranging from 3 to 11, who are accommodated in 10 classes including the our Nursery. Our children are grouped in mixed ability classes or a single age group wherever possible, but some classes have mixed age groups. As well as the Music / Drama Hall, there is a main hall which is used for assemblies, P.E. and at lunchtimes.

Furzeham Nursery is an integral part of Furzeham Primary School. It has been open since September 1999 following extensive refurbishment of the building and purchase of new equipment. Our nursery provides a stimulating environment with indoor and outdoor areas and the opportunity to explore further afield. The Nursery has 52 part time places for 3 and 4 years. It is staffed by the nursery team, Mrs Bennett and Mrs Hamberg (nursery nurse). For more information about available places, please contact the Main Office.
In September 2006 - building work is due to begin on a new Children’s Centre  which will provide fantastic new opportunities for the school and the local community. This is due to be completed in Autumn 2007. More information on this exciting new project will be posted here shortly.

We have a large and broad range of books and resources in our library. There is a networked computer where we can access the Internet and other resources
We are looking forward to the Autumn when we will be updating our library to a fully automated library system complete with finger-print recognition software.
