Gosbecks Primary School

Gosbecks School Values

Gosbecks School values all people within and connected with it.

A School Values Working Party was established in December 2001. This featured a consultation process involving: children, parents, governors, learning support assistants and non-teaching staff. After collating all feedback it was evident Gosbecks School values:

• respect for the individual;
• communicating with each other;
• joining together with the wider community;
• the best from teaching and learning;
• celebrating success;
• a safe and exciting learning environment.

These values reflect our approach to all aspects of school life.

Class Sizes

There are 12 classes within the school, 4 in KS1 and 8 in KS2 (2 for each year group).

In KS1 class sizes vary between 22 and 25 pupils.

In KS2 class sizes vary between 23 and 27 pupils.

All classes are supported by Learning Support Assistants.

Gosbecks School was opened in 1957. The school has its own playing fields and is situated in very pleasant surroundings.  The grounds have a variety of wild life habitats including a pond and a woodland area, all of which are used by the children for study. Within the school there is a modern well equipped kitchen where hot meals are prepared and served daily by the school's catering team.

Gosbecks School is located in an area of historical importance being within walking distance of Gosbecks' Archaeological Park. On the site there are the remains of a Pre-Christian Temple and a Roman Theatre. Surrounding the site is a complex Iron Age defensive dyke system. For more information visit the link below.
