Affiliations

 

Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA); This prestigious international group allows students to act as United Nations Delegates and debate issues as representatives of their “adopted” country.  Students and staff have recently returned from a successful conference at the Royal Russell School.


Hautlieu provides Jersey Qualified Teacher Status training for teachers in Jersey and Beginner Teachers training on placement from universities in the UK.


  Hautlieu is a Member of the National Association for Gifted Children  (NAGC)


Hautlieu is a member of the University of the First Age (UFA) which provides enhancing training to exploit the latest research into the cognitive processes underpinning teaching and learning.  Five teachers have been awarded the coveted status of Fellows of the UFA and several more are following the programme to achieve this award.  The school runs a programme of peer mentors, students supporting students in the learning process.  


Hautlieu has heavily invested in the Critical Skills Programme, a programme focused on the most effective ways of providing students with the skills they need to learn, adapt and innovate in today’s world for now and for the rest of their lives.  Currently over 50% of staff have gained Level 1 qualification with 13 qualified to Level 2 and 1 achieving the status of accredited trainer.


Hautlieu, in partnership with the University of the West of England (UWE),  offers accelerated Art students university standard modules in Art and Design, including a summer extension school in Bristol. 


 The School is in partnership with Highlands College to offer:


Hautlieu and St. John’s College, Oxford University  have set up a joint programme to raise aspirations and encourage more students to apply for Oxbridge places.  The programme provides students with visits to Oxford and Cambridge and a series of presentations from visiting Admissions Tutors to assist students in the completion of UCAS personal statements and the application and interview process.
