Haslingden High School is a Specialist Arts, Maths and Computing College for students aged 11-18.

We are committed to our number one aim which is to enable all students to achieve their potential regardless of age, ability or background and this aim pervades policies and practice within school. We have high expectations, shared with our community and regularly reinforced with students and their families. The Every Child Matters outcomes are at the heart of all that we do and all that we stand for and are the key drivers of our School Improvement Plan.

  • LEARNING - to enable all students to achieve their full potential irrespective of age, ability and background.
  • PERSONAL AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT - to make a positive contribution to each student’s personal and social development by fostering self-esteem, respect for others and self-discipline.
  • ORGANISATION - to enable the School to function effectively and successfully, responding to the needs of students, parents, staff and the wider community.
  • PARENTS AND COMMUNITY - to establish positive relationships between home and School by seeking to involve parents in all aspects of School life.
  • ETHOS - to set high standards and create a learning environment in which all are treated with understanding and respect.
