WELCOME TO HAYNES LOWER SCHOOL!

If you are considering sending your child here, please do come and visit us during the working day.  You may make an appointment, via the school secretary.  If you require a place for your child and are outside the catchment area, you will need to express a preference in writing to The Admissions Officer at County Hall, Cauldwell Street, Bedford, MK42 9AP.

If your child is joining us for the first time we welcome you and look forward to a happy and successful association.  For those new to Haynes and for those with children already here, this prospectus will provide you with relevant information about the school, its aims, curriculum and organisation.

Being a small, county co-educational village school for children from four to nine years, we are in the unique position of all the staff knowing the children really well.  This ensures that we provide a caring, supportive learning environment for our pupils throughout the time they are in school.

Our enthusiastic and experienced team works hard to provide opportunities for children to fulfil their potential in terms of their personal, social and physical development and we make every effort to be well planned and resourced to meet the educational needs of all abilities.

We offer a friendly, open but secure environment and hope that you will take advantage of the many opportunities offered for you to become involved in the life of the school.  In this way, you will not only be able to better understand how our school operates but also to witness at first hand how, by nurturing and celebrating success and by committing ourselves to the development of the potential of every child, we actively promote high standards and values that will make children worthwhile citizens.

I look forward to seeing you!

Glenn Davenport
