Heathlands is a Church of England village school established in 1858 to serve the village of West Bergholt in Colchester (Essex - England). It now has over 350 pupils and has expanded over the years with the growth of the region and the choice of parents because of its very good reputation.
The school has an established staff who have a variety of expertise. Its teachers and learning support assistants are very talented and experienced. Our Investors in People appraisal states:
"Whilst this is an educational establishment for children, it is very much a learning organisation for everyone."
We aim, through our ethos, to inspire, stimulate and nurture our children, not to force feed them. We blend traditional values and skills with more progressive ideas and hence we achive high standards.
