Welcome to Highclare School

We appreciate the opportunity to help you take one of the most important decisions you have to make as a parent – choosing the right school for your son or daughter.

Highclare was founded in 1932 and has over the intervening years developed a reputation as a caring community, committed to individual excellence.

The school is situated on three sites that all offer small class sizes, and share the basic Highclare ethos which emphasises personal self-discipline, responsibility and
morality, combined with the highest possible standards of behaviour. Pupils learn to show consideration for others, and take a pride in themselves and their school.

Highclare's expectations and standards are high, and this is demonstrated by the excellent results we consistently achieve at each Keystage, particularly 11+ entrance examinations, GCSE and A-level grades.

We provide a stable and supportive learning environment, which allows each pupil to discover his or her talents, and then work on them. Teaching staff are highly qualified specialists, committed to developing every child.

Highclare offers a wide range of extra curricular activities through which boys and girls can develop social, sporting, and cultural interests, that provide life long enjoyment.

During their time with us, your son or daughter will realise his/her strengths and achieve high standards in his/her chosen fields.

As this is now our 75th Anniversary year there will be plenty of celebratary activities and fundraising on-going throughout the school during this school year. Our first events were services and parties on September 14th, the actual date that Highclare opened in 1932. To see an account of these celebrations please click - here

We would be delighted to show you around the school.  If you would like to arrange a visit or require further assistance please contact me on 0121 373
