Holbrook has a long history of education, which dates back to 1837. Until 1983 the school was based on two different sites, but following substantial re-development of the Moorside Lane site, including provision of a new classroom and toilets, all the facilities are on one site.
The school has infant and junior departments and the accommodation consists of five classrooms. We have two hard play areas and a school field, and in addition we have use of the Arkwright Hall every weekday.
The school is controlled by the local authority. The Board of Governors and the Headteacher, have responsibility for managing the school. They are committed to maintaining and improving standards and achievements in all subjects and areas of school life.
Holbrook Primary is a Church of England school, which aims to foster a Christian atmosphere, producing a caring environment to encourage the children to enjoy and make the most of their academic and creative talents. |
