Mission Statement

Our children are our future.

Our school is here because we wish to give our children the best chance to develop both their academic and social skills so that they can become responsible members of the community.

We will provide a caring, challenging and Christian environment where high quality learning can take place, and where people are valued, respected and treated fairly

Governors nowadays have a lot more responsibility than before and they try to be involved as much as they can in the life of the school. The main point of contact for students and parents remains with the teaching staff; if you want to raise a matter with the school talk to your child's teacher first, then the head teacher. There are processes by which parents can appeal to the board of governors, although this happens rarely.

Each year the governors produced a report to parents detailing their plans for the year, accounting for the budget, reporting on SAT’s and giving an overall assessment of how they thought the school was doing. A copy of this report is available from the school office at any time.

Following the passage of the Education Act 2005, governing bodies are no longer required to produce a governors' annual report. The report has now been replaced by the school profile, which is published online and can be found by clicking on the link.
