Many of our children come from the village pre-school and older children from Iford and Kingston link with them before their arrival, ensuring that each child has a 'buddy'.
Older members of the community are invited into the school each year to the 'Spring Tea' performances. A concert, with presentations from each class, is followed by a tour of the school and an afternoon tea.
The church regularly hosts services at Easter, Christmas, Harvest, and at the end of the year when the Year 6 children leave. The rector takes a service at the school once each week and children regularly use the church as a resource for RE, art and other areas of the curriculum.
Children from the school go out into the community on a regular basis on school visits and to perform to local community groups.
The school also works hard to develop links with the wider national and international community and currently has close links with local secondary and primary schools, as well as schools in Sierra Leone and South Africa. Other international links are planned for the future.
