We are a large, happy, multicultural primary school of over 600 children,  which has had a long tradition of serving the community since 1933.  We are situated  in the heart of Slough and cater for children aged 3 to 11 years.

Our school motto is "Where Children come first" as our children are important to us regardless of their ability. Our reputation rests in our children doing well, not just in academic subjects, but in all areas of the curriculum. During the Summer, dresses or skirts and blouses in school colour may be worn.  Many girls wish to wear Asian dress in school colours and this is quite acceptable.

It is most important for health reasons and for adequate freedom of movement that suitable clothing and footwear is worn for games and PE lessons.  Please could you provide your child with the following:

Outdoor P.E. Red Shorts or leggings (tracksuit in Winter), White T-shirt (with school logo) and Trainers/Plimsolls

Jewellery  For reasons of safety unnecessary jewellery should not be worn.  The School cannot accept responsibility for its loss or damage.  Children are expected to remove all jewellery including stud earrings for P.E. and games.  Alternatively, these may be covered by sticking plaster (brought from home)

Lost Property

It is essential that all equipment and clothing is clearly marked with your child's name.  Whilst every effort is made to recover lost items, the School cannot be held responsible.  please go to the class teacher or school office to report lost items.  Please not that all unclaimed lost property is disposed of at the end of every term.

Secondary Transfer

Slough has four Grammar Schools (Selective Schools):

Langley Grammar
Herschel Grammar
Slough Grammar
St. Bernards Convent

To obtain a place at one of these Grammar Schools, your child must be successful in passing the 11 Plus examination which is taken in November, while your child is in Year 6. Children wishing to take the 11 Plus exam have to opt to take it early in the Autumn Term. The exam is sat in our School.

All Year 6 children also have to make a choice of a non-selective school early in the Autumn Term. More information is always given to you when your child moves into Year 6. The non-selective schools are as follows:

Baylis Court Secondary (Girls)

St. Josephs R.C. Secondary

Beechwood Secondary

Westgate Secondary

Churchmead Secondary
