Principal's Message

Christine Braddock'Learn more to earn more' is not just a catchphrase; it is also fundamentally true. The more skills you pick up the easier it is to find work, the better your chances of promotion and the higher your wage. The opposite is also true. Those with low levels of qualifications are more likely to be out of work, unhappy and in difficulty. The message is obvious: education pays; training pays; learning works.

'The more you know, the more you grow' is also true. Learning doesn't just get you a job; it makes you a better person, more sought after and more confident. Learning may sometimes be difficult, but it makes the rest of life easier and more rewarding.

There are two obvious questions - What should you learn? Where should you learn? To find the answers look at this website and come to Sutton Coldfield College. We are specialists in full-time education and training for people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life.

If this site doesn't give you the answers or you need to talk to someone, please give our Information and Advice Centre a ring for a confidential and friendly, no-strings chat. Their number is on this website too.

You'll find good reasons to come to Sutton Coldfield College. As a school leaver you'll find the widest possible choice of programmes at our Sixth Form Centre and could be one of the 800 to go to university each year. As an adult you'll meet new friends, have your eyes opened to new worlds and improve your prospects of a job or promotion as you do so. You'll find an excellent site with first-rate facilities; easy access; a pleasant, safe and secure environment; magnificent study and recreational facilities.

We aim to be the best there is and we are getting there fast; which is why we are first choice for so many people in Sutton Coldfield and across the West Midlands.

Whatever the reason for wanting to learn, we have the skills to make you feel welcome, enjoy your time with us and, best of all, leave better qualified for work, higher education or just life itself.
