Welcome to Jubilee Park Primary School

Dear Friend,

Welcome to our website. I am sure that you will enjoy your visit and that you will be impressed by what our school has to offer.

Jubilee Park Primary School is a lively exciting place of learning and has a growing reputation within the local and educational community.  At Jubilee we work hard to raise our children's aspirations and also value the individual achievements of each child.

Here at Jubilee Park Primary School all staff are dedicated with a passion to raise standards and to improve the life chances of the children. We encourage all children to 'Reach for the Stars'.

The school has a broad and balanced curriculum that is further enhanced by exciting extra-curricular activities such as a Football Fitness, KidzOwn and Triple S Clubs, and other 'less strenuous' pursuits such as gardening club and Breakfast Club. We now also have a high quality registered childcare provision with lots of fun activities for pupils (The Extra Time Club) daily between 3:30pm until 6.00pm and children living in the surrounding area also have the opportunity to join us on the Walking Bus to travel into school. Jubilee Park Primary School also has special focus weeks when the children, staff and visiting specialists work on exciting art, technology and science projects.

At Jubilee park, we believe that good attendance improves the life chances of children and enables them to achieve their full potential.  The school's, and current Government targets, specify that  attendance should be around 95% for the academic year and does allow for genuine illnesses.  From September 2007, we will be asking parents to support us in providing medical evidence for all absences if a child's attendance is 90% or below. (Click here to read guidance notes about unavoidable school closures.)

We value the networking and links with other institutions. We are part of a local School to School Network and work closely with two other Sandwell schools to improve standards and develop the curriculum. Jubilee is also a networked 'Learning Community School.' This is a national research based project focusing on how children learn.

The school recently underwent a successful Ofsted Inspection in March 2007 in which we were judged as is providing a satisfactory education, whilst good leadership and management ensuring that it is on an upward trend. All aspects of work within the school are either described as satisfactory or good and are detailed in the final report. Full copies are available on request from the front office, through the link on this website or directly from OFSTED at

All visitors are welcome in school. We operate an open door policy and I am more than willing to meet you and give a personal guided tour of our great school! You can contact us by post, phone or e mail.

Best Wishes

Mrs H. Conner BEd (Hons) NPQH

We are proud to be an inclusive school and strive to create a safe, caring and happy environment where everybody is respected and valued.  The children in our care are afforded every opportunity to achieve their potential both academically and socially. We endeavour to prepare our pupils for the challenges, responsibilities and experiences of adult life. Working together to be the best we can be!

We believe that this mission statement will manifest itself through the following school aims:

The staff and governors aim to work with the wider school community partners to:

·         Set high standards for basic skill development to equip our pupils for the next stage in their education and the world of work.

·         Develop high expectations and aspirations for all!

·         Celebrate achievement, as well as the attainment, of all pupils and foster uniqueness.

·         Nurture an awareness of the need for a healthy lifestyle.

·         Provide a safe and secure learning environment and ensure our pupils know how to stay safe.

·         Provide opportunities for everyone to make a positive contribution to the community and wider world.

·         Develop pupil collaboration and cooperation.

·         Provide fun and creative learning opportunities, whilst fostering independence and decision-making skills.

·         Make sure that all pupils are happy and fulfilled and have a high self-esteem.

·         Ensure that pupils understand social responsibilities, know their boundaries and are mutually respectful and tolerant of others.

·         Encourage our pupils to take pride in themselves and act in a polite and well mannered way.

·         Encourage inclusion in our diverse school and wider community.
