At Kents Hill Junior School our commitment is for all children to become responsible, independent learners who are actively engaged in the next steps of their learning and able to use their knowledge and skills in all areas of their life. We promote a safe, respectful and supportive environment to facilitate exciting, challenging learning. Everyone is encouraged to recognise and value their own achievements and those of others. It is our expectation that all individuals will be polite and friendly, with an approachable and respectful attitude.

We provide purposeful learning through contexts that are meaningful to children, related to real life situations whenever possible. A respect for learning is cultivated through a variety of visually pleasing, welcoming and stimulating areas, for both work and play.

We believe strongly that the success of our school depends upon children, parents, carers, staff, governors and members of the local and wider communities working effectively together, sharing interests, skills and knowledge.
