WELCOME!!!

Our old Victorian school was built in 1895.  30 years ago an Infant School was built on a new site off Church View.

In November 2003, we moved to a wonderful purpose built site in a rural setting.  The school is situated in extensive grounds which contain a large playing field, wild flower meadow, pond area and two playgrounds.

Click on the links below to find our school prospectus, newsletters, dates for your diaries and contact details.

Loscoe is a Church of England Controlled School. Two of the school's Governing Body are appointees of the Church of England. They are known as Foundation Governors because at the time the school was founded in 1895, the land for the building was provided and administered through the Church Authorities,

We maintain strong links with the church and its community, through shared activities, use of church buildings for services and celebrations, and by regular acts of worship being conducted by the vicar in school.

MISSION STATEMENT AND AIMS

Loscoe Church of England Primary School determines to achieve:-

The best education today for the people of tomorrow.

We aim to do this by:-

  • Creating a happy, safe, sociable, caring community which fosters respect, truth, honesty, kindness and tolerance toward each other;

  • Promoting a high standard of teaching and learning that will enable all our children to develop to their full potential, regardless of gender, background or ability;

  • Fostering and encouraging positive attitudes towards learning that celebrates all achievements and where mistakes are seen as opportunities for learning;

  • Helping all children develop their own personality and become confident and independent members of our community;

  • Ensuring that all staff and Governors work together to maintain and extend the high standards and expectations of the school;

  • Encouraging and valuing the support and involvement of parents, carers, the church and the wider community in the aims of the school and to work in partnership in order to link home and school life.

PTA

Who are we?

Loscoe Primary School PTA is a registered charity whose aim it is to raise funds to make life at school as pleasant as possible for the children. We provide money for the things that may not be able to be bought from the school Budget

How do we raise money?

Fund raising activities include book sales, fairs, disco's, non uniform days and many other events. Money raised is held by the PTA and is then allocated to the school when requests are received in the regular meetings.

What does the money get spent on?

We have provided money for a whole range of different things for the school including gazebos for the playground.
